SFI, DYFI Dukhli Divisional Committee holds protest on 9 demands

Agartala, September 11, 2022: The Dukhli Divisional Committee of the Students Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youths Federation of India (DYFI) on Sunday holds protest movement against the government on 9-point charter of demands.

Speaking to media persons, DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb said that the students and youths have stepped on the road demanding education and work. The entire situation of education has collapsed, not only this, the health condition has become miserable. BJP-led government has closed down the opportunities of employment and created a terror-like situation across the state.

“For creating a terror-free state, an alternative government is the need of the hour. With this appeal, we the students and youths of the Leftist wings have stepped on the road and we believe that the people of every section are coming forward and supporting us. With the common masses, this movements will create a bigger form in the coming days”, he added.

The demands are “Filling all vacancies in all offices in the state, recruitment of sufficient number of teachers in every school, provision of permanent employment for 10323 unemployed teachers, inclusion of Kakbarak language in eighth tehsil, 50 thousand jobs in a year, smart phones in the hands of all youths, 200 days work in MGNREGA with wages of Rs 340 per day, Rs 2000 social allowance, to take strict action against the police administration against political terrorism, theft, murder, dacoity, extortion, drug trade.”
