Agartala, 30th May 2024: In a concerning incident, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath was captured on video issuing a threatening statement to an employee of FEDCO in Sabroom. The incident occurred following a failure to restore power in the bordering village Sabroom.
The video quickly spread on social media, sparking widespread criticism of the minister’s conduct.
During the altercation, Minister Nath was seen openly threatening the employee in the presence of TSECL Managing Director Debasish Sarkar, Former BJP Sabroom MLA Sankar Roy, MLAs Pramod Reang, Mailafru Mog, and others. He stated, “Please tell the truth. Don’t lie to me, or else I will resort to physical violence. I will remove you from here. I am not someone to be trifled with.”
Following the viral circulation of the video, netizens expressed their dismay and condemned the minister’s actions.
