Agartala, 1st April 2026:   Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma today emphatically rejected any political alliances ahead of the elections, stressing that he will not compromise the interests of his community for short-term gains. Addressing his party’s first campaign rally at Silachari Motor Stand in Gomati district, Pradyot called on voters to choose candidates committed to the rights and future of the next generation.

“Some leaders suggested splitting seats—14 for Tipra Motha, 14 for the BJP—but I refused. Compromising would benefit only a few individuals, not the poor tribal communities,” he said. “Politics for me is not about money or power; it is about respect, rights, and securing a better future for our people.”

Highlighting the socio-economic challenges facing communities like the Mog, Chakma, and Tripuri, Pradyot pointed to a lack of basic amenities such as schools, roads, and water. “We remain divided while our children go without education. Now is the time to unite. Vote for those who will secure a better tomorrow for your children,” he urged.

Pradyot also warned against attempts by other political parties to lure voters with money, livestock, or incentives. “Reject temporary gains. Demand roads, hospitals, and schools. Vote for a real future, not handouts,” he added.

He further criticized Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s recent statement on language rights, saying the government should prioritize education and rights before seeking votes. “They say monarchy is over, yet village council elections are still not held. Our fight is for the next generation,” Pradyot asserted.

The Tipra Motha leader concluded by calling for sustained political activism, promising protests and advocacy for tribal youth and community rights over the next 18 months. “I need not just your vote, but your trust. Together, we can ensure the future of our people,” he said.
