Agartala, Nov 28: The newly constructed Ramakrishna Temple of Ramakrishna Paramahansadeva at Dewanpasha in Dharmanagar was inaugurated on Sunday last, by His Holiness Srimat Swami Divanandji Maharaj. The temple opening was marked by a three-day celebration that included various events such as a special Puja, a Chandi Path, a Home of Tagore, a procession, a youth conference, a blood donation camp, and a Diksha Daan Parva.
The celebration began at 6:30 AM on Sunday with a special Puja, followed by a Chandi Path and a Home of Tagore. At 8 AM, the temple was officially opened by Swami Divanandji Maharaj, who also performed the Diksha Daan Parva, a ceremony of initiation, for the devotees every day. At 8:30 AM, a procession of hundreds of devotees was held around the temple. Various devotional programs were also held in the premises of the Ashram throughout the day.
On Monday, a youth conference was organized at the Dharmanagar Vivekananda Centenary Bhavan, where His Holiness Swami Ekchitrananda Ji Maharaj delivered a long speech. The Principal of Ramakrishna Mission College Narendrapur also attended the conference.
On Tuesday, a voluntary blood donation camp was held at 11 AM, where 33 people, including four women, donated blood. Dr. Amit Das was present as a doctor in the camp.
The secretary of the Dharmanagar Ramakrishna Seva Samiti, Champu Som, said that about 300 new devotees received Tagore’s initiation during the three-day celebration. He expressed his gratitude to all the participants and the organizers for making the event a success.
