Agartala, 25th December 2023: Tripura Legislative Assembly’s former Speaker and Khayerpur MLA Ratan Chakraborty on Monday paid tribute to the former Prime Minister late Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, emphasizing Vajpayee’s visionary leadership that set India on the path of development. Chakraborty highlighted the continuation of this legacy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who initiated programs like ‘Viksit Bharat,’ ‘Seva O Sushasan,’ and more.
As part of the commemoration, Khayerpur mandal, led by Chakraborty, organized various programs to honour Vajpayee’s commitment to the welfare of the common people. A visit to the Health and Wellness Centre at Ranirbazar under Jirania sub-division was among the initiatives undertaken to mark the occasion.
Accompanying Chakraborty were Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti chairman Biswajit Shil, Khayerpur Mandal president Amit Kumar Nandi, vice-president Manik Lal Singh, and party karyakartas.
During the visit, fruits, sweets, and milk were distributed among patients at the Health and Wellness Centre as a gesture of goodwill. Chakraborty expressed his commitment to realizing Vajpayee’s vision and urged the community to follow the principles of Lord Jesus in creating a beautiful society.
Furthermore, he called for leveraging the opportunities presented by the ‘Amrit Kaal’ to achieve ‘Srestha Tripura’ through the implementation of ‘Sushasan’ events that benefit society at large. The initiatives underscored a collective commitment to fostering development and welfare, echoing the ideals set forth by the revered former Prime Minister.
