Agartala, May 14, 2023: Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare minister Ratan Lal Nath on Sunday inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by Tripura Rajya Krishi Bibhagiyo Karmachari Committee at Krishi Bhavan here. Nath was accompanied by the philanthropist Rajib Bhattacharjee and others.
Speaking to media persons here, A&FW minister Nath said that various organizations, committees, departments, clubs, etc, have come forward to organize blood donation camps throughout the state and people are donating blood voluntarily. This had been possible on the earnest appeal made by the Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha.
In this camp, 127 people had registered their names to donate blood voluntarily and among them, women are also there. The people of the state had developed a mindset that there is no way to live alone and hence, donating blood is one of the noble work towards society, he added.
Nath said that he had attended 14 blood donation camps in last two and half months. He also said that the people have become so enthusiastic in organizing blood donation camps during social programmes like marriages, birthdays, anniversaries, sradh ceremonies, etc. which is a part of innovative thinking towards society.
