Agartala, 22nd May 2024 : The deteriorating condition of the only road connecting the residents of Rai Para, under the Jampuijala subdivision has become a pressing issue. For several years, locals have been urging the concerned department to address the road’s disrepair. However, despite changes in political leadership—from the left period to the current right period- no substantial efforts have been made to repair the road.
The Raipara road, which stretches from Kanchanmala through Raipara to Manipuri Basti serves as a lifeline for approximately 60 to 70 families in the area. Unfortunately, the road’s poor state has severely impacted public life. Medical emergencies pose a significant challenge, as the impassable road makes it difficult to transport sick individuals to nearby hospitals promptly. Potholes, mud, and frozen sections further exacerbate the situation.
Frustrated with the lack of action, Rai Para residents took their grievances to the media on Wednesday morning. They expressed their anger toward the concerned department and demanded urgent repairs to restore the road’s functionality and safety for the community. The situation remains critical, and residents hope that their voices will prompt necessary measures from the government.
