Agartala, 3rd June 2025: The construction of a 9.5-km-long road from Sabrum sub-division’s Satchand Block to Manubankul Natunbazar is progressing rapidly, despite recent misleading claims circulating on social media. An official investigation has debunked these allegations, confirming the project’s integrity and adherence to quality standards.
Initiated a month ago with a budget of Rs 8.5 crore , the road construction is being executed by the reputed firm M/S Kishore Roy. Authorities affirm that work is proceeding efficiently while maintaining the required standards.
Speaking on the matter, Manu MLA Mailafru Mog emphasized the significance of the project for improving local connectivity. “Both the quality and speed of the work are satisfactory,” he stated. He also condemned misinformation, asserting, “Some opposition conspirators on social media were trying to disrupt progress by spreading false and misleading comments.”
In response to these claims, officials from the PWD department conducted an on-site inspection, reviewing materials and construction processes. Their findings validated the project’s compliance with planned specifications, dismissing concerns raised online.
Local residents, witnessing steady progress, voiced their appreciation for the initiative, expressing hope that the improved infrastructure would enhance daily transportation and boost regional development.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to transparency, urging citizens to rely on verified information rather than social media speculation. The administration’s prompt response to dispel misinformation reflects an effort to uphold accountability and foster confidence in public infrastructure projects.
