Agartala, 10th December 2025:   Yakrai Bazaar in the Kalyanpur–Promodnagar Assembly segment is set for a significant upgrade, with a modern two-storied market complex nearing completion in the ADC area. Officials said the project, costing nearly Rs 88 lakh, has reached 90–95 percent completion and is likely to be inaugurated in the coming days.

The upcoming facility features contemporary infrastructure and improved amenities aimed at transforming what had long been regarded as a remote and underdeveloped locality. The market, designed to support a larger volume of traders and buyers, is expected to streamline local commerce and improve access to goods and services.

Residents and traders have welcomed the development, expressing surprise at the scale and quality of the new infrastructure in an area far from the Kalyanpur town centre. They noted that the project demonstrates a renewed focus on enhancing socio-economic conditions in ADC regions.

Local community members described the initiative as a timely intervention that will strengthen livelihood opportunities, improve convenience, and enhance connectivity for surrounding villages. The new marketplace is anticipated to become a key commercial hub, symbolising progress in the region’s rural development efforts.
