Agartala, September 12, 2023: The enforcement team of Sadar sub-divisional administration has initiated an extensive anti-plastic campaign in the region. The administrative officials on Tuesday conducted a thorough inspection at the Lake Choumuhani market. Simultaneously, they also scrutinized the prices of rice, potatoes, and onions produced within the state to ensure market correctness.
An official spokesperson highlighted that the prices of locally produced rice have witnessed an upward trend in recent days. To address this concern, the team thoroughly assessed whether the prices of rice in shops were accurate.
During the day, the enforcement team targeted and conducted raids at 35 different shops. Additionally, a significant quantity of plastic bags was seized during the operation. The official emphasized that this campaign would persist in the coming days as part of efforts to make Tripura a plastic-free region.
The Sadar Sub-Divisional Administration’s proactive stance on environmental conservation and fair market practices underscores its commitment to the well-being and sustainability of the local community.
