Agartala, 31st July 2026: Sanatani Hindu Sena president Tapas Majumder on Friday announced that the organisation will celebrate its second foundation anniversary on August 2 with a day-long programme comprising religious observances and social welfare activities at Bypass under the Suryamaninagar Assembly constituency.
Addressing a press conference, Majumder said the celebrations would begin with a Maha Shanti Yajna from 9 am to 12 noon, to be conducted by saints and religious leaders. This will be followed by the distribution of wheelchairs to persons with disabilities, clothing for the poor and distribution of prasad.
He said a Naam Sankirtan would commence at 2 pm and continue till 10 pm. Inviting people from all sections of society to attend, Majumder said the organisation has also invited ministers, MLAs and other personalities, adding that confirmations from several invitees have already been received while more are expected.
Speaking about the objectives of the organisation, Majumder said Sanatani Hindu Sena works to protect Hindu religion and culture and organise programmes to create awareness among Hindus about their traditions and religious practices.
During the press conference, Majumder also made allegations regarding what he described as “land jihad”, “love jihad” and cow slaughter, claiming that Hindus in certain parts of Tripura were facing challenges and migration. He referred to places including Boxanagar, Sonamura, Dhanpur, Kailashahar, Kadamtala and Bishalgarh while making these claims.
He further alleged that attempts were being made to purchase land from Hindus in different parts of the state and asserted that the organisation would continue its campaign against what he termed “jihadi mentality.”
Majumder concluded by saying that Sanatani Hindu Sena would continue its efforts, according to him, to protect Tripura, India and Hindu society.
