Agartala, 14th April 2026:   The 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was observed across India, including in South Tripura’s Santirbazar today. The day was commemorated with reverence and community service, reflecting the ideals of the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The BJP’s 36-Santirbazar Mandal Committee organized a special program at South Tripura District Hospital in the morning. Mandal president Debasish Bhowmik, vice-president Partha Patari, and other party workers paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s portrait to begin the event.

Following the homage, the committee distributed sweets and fruits among patients admitted to the hospital. The initiative aimed not only to wish patients a speedy recovery but also to spread Ambedkar’s message of social justice and equality among the public.

The program highlighted how Ambedkar’s vision continues to inspire humanitarian efforts at the grassroots level, reinforcing his legacy as a champion of dignity and fairness for all.
