Scuffle over cattle grazing left many injured

Agartala, 28th May 2025: Tension gripped the Chandanagar Ghanimara area under Nehar village on Wednesday after a violent altercation broke out over cattle grazing on a disputed piece of land. The incident, which falls under the jurisdiction of Bishalgarh police station, left several people injured.

According to local sources, the dispute escalated quickly, leading to a physical confrontation between the parties involved. Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and rescued the injured, subsequently transporting them to the Vishalgarh sub-district hospital.

The injured have been identified as Narayan Das, Soma Das, Mamon Das, and Sajal Malakar. After administering preliminary treatment, the attending medical officer referred all four to Agartala’s GBP Hospital for further care due to the severity of their injuries.

Police officials from Bishalgarh police station arrived at the hospital shortly after being alerted and have initiated an investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, the situation remains tense in Chandanagar Ghanimara, with local residents demanding swift police action and steps to prevent further violence.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any further escalation.
