Agartala, December 06, 2022: A one-day seminar was held at the conference hall of Sepahijala District Magistrate on Tuesday afternoon. Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Datta, Additional District Magistrate JV Duati, Senior Advocate Sumita Roy and others were present.
Chairman of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Sub Committee and officials of ICDS office and other office bearers also participated in this one day workshop. On this day, Sabhadipati Supriya Das Datta started the program by offering floral tribute on the portrait of Dr BR Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution.
Senior lawyer Sumita Roy detailed the importance and scope of Atrocities Act for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes before the seminar participants.Moreover, she held a discussion to make the people of the state and especially women aware of various issues and also discussed how to get rid of the problems in the law in the case of STSC and other backward castes from the general public.
