Agartala, 1st May 2026 : A major road accident occurred early Friday morning in the Ashram Palli area along the Kumarghat–Kailashahar main road.
Eyewitnesses reported that a vehicle lost control due to high speed, overturned in the middle of the road, and then crashed into a roadside barricade. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
Although his identity is not yet confirmed, he is believed to be a resident of Kailashahar. Preliminary information suggests that the driver may have fallen asleep while driving, leading to the accident.
Local residents rescued the injured driver and rushed him to Kumarghat Hospital. The vehicle involved bears registration number TR 02 N 0602.
