Agartala, 1st July 2026: A seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp was inaugurated at the BRC Hall of Bhagini Nivedita Higher Secondary Girls’ School in Kailashahar, organized by the NSS unit of CBSE-affiliated Vidyajyoti School. The camp is themed “Not Me, But You”, reflecting the ideals of social service, humanity, and selfless dedication to community welfare.
The inauguration was marked by watering a sapling, performed by Unakoti District Magistrate and Collector Megha Jain (IAS). Distinguished guests present included District Education Department OSD Benimadhab Chakraborty, District Sports Officer Amit Yathhadv, along with other dignitaries. The program began with a welcome address by teacher Papia Ghosh.
In her speech, DM Megha Jain illustrated the significance of the NSS motto through an inspiring story, emphasizing that selfless service for society is the true essence of the scheme. She urged volunteers to engage in activities such as tree plantation, cleanliness drives, surveys, and identifying local issues during the camp. She also advised the preparation of a detailed report to be submitted to the district administration for future developmental planning.
Expressing hope, she said NSS volunteers would embody the spirit of “Not Me, But You” and play a vital role in community welfare. She concluded by wishing success for the camp and a bright future for the participating students.
