Deb stated that the stage will be named in honor of Comrade Samar Chakraborty, while the conference itself has been dedicated to the memory of former CPIM All India Secretary, the late Comrade Sitaram Yechury. “We are expecting the participation of 350 delegates from various parts of the state, along with more than a hundred students,” he said.
Highlighting the presence of key political figures, Deb confirmed that the founder of SFI, former Chief Minister and Politburo member Manik Sarkar, CPIM state secretary and Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury and other distinguished leaders will attend the event.
During the press conference, Deb also raised concerns about the rampant drug trade in Tripura. “The administration has failed to take effective steps to curb this alarming trend,” he asserted.
