Agartala, 27th April 2025:  A pall of grief has descended over Ward No. 1 of Urmai Gram Panchayat under Sonamura Gram Panchayat as news of the untimely death of Parimal Das reached his hometown. The 35-year-old, who had relocated to Chennai two years back in search of a better life for his family, tragically passed away today.

It is reported that, Parimal Das worked as a security guard at the Chennai-based Tara Moni ITI company. His family recalls their last conversation with him just days ago, during which he revealed, “I haven’t been feeling well for the past two days.” Tragically, while descending the stairs after his shift, he suffered a fatal accident. He succumbed to his injuries soon after.

Das is survived by his wife Sangita Das, his son Palash Das and his daughter Sushmita Das, a Class V student. His wife tearfully expressed her disbelief, saying, “We were waiting for him to return with hope, not in this heartbreaking way.”

The shocking news has left his family and the local community devastated. Immediate efforts are underway to bring his body back to Tripura, with assistance sought from the Sonamura Police Station. However, the situation took a mysterious turn as a colleague from the ITI company alleged, “There is currently no trace of his body.” This revelation has raised concerns, prompting calls for further investigation.
