Agartala, 27th November 2025: The Department of Social Education and Social Welfare of the state government organized the concluding ceremony of the South District-level Poshan Maah at the Jolaibari CDPO office conference hall today. The event featured several public-oriented initiatives aimed at strengthening community welfare.
As part of the program, Anganwadi workers from the Jolaibari assembly constituency received smartphones to aid their work. In addition, under the Chief Minister’s scheme, a memorandum approving a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000 for individuals with mental disabilities was handed over by the department.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by local MLA and Minister for PTG and Minority Development, Shukla Charan Noatia, who inaugurated the program.
Among the dignitaries present were Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Baidya, Jolaibari BSC Chairman Ashok Mog, CDPO Dipak Kumar Deb, and South District Divyang Committee President Uttam Majumder, along with other officials and community representatives.
Later in the day, Minister Noatia inaugurated a newly constructed Anganwadi Centre at Putrahampara in Kalsi ADC village under the PM Janman project. The centre was formally opened to provide early childhood care and education facilities for local children.
The minister’s series of initiatives generated widespread enthusiasm among residents, reflecting strong community support for efforts to improve welfare and educational infrastructure across villages.
