Agartala, 19th October 2025: To facilitate smooth travel for devotees during the upcoming Diwali festival in 2025, the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway will operate two special trains for pilgrims visiting the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati district. The announcement was made by Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
The two special trains — Agartala–Sabroom–Agartala and Agartala–Dharmanagar–Agartala — will run during the festive period to manage the surge in passenger traffic heading toward the temple of the Divine Mother of Tripura.
Expressing his gratitude, Minister Chowdhury thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their continued support in making the special train services possible.
“To ensure comfort and convenience for pilgrims visiting Mata Tripureshwari Temple during Diwali, NF Railway has arranged two special trains. I sincerely thank the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, and the Union Railway Minister for their unwavering support to the people of Tripura,” said Chowdhury.
The decision has received widespread appreciation from residents and devotees alike, as it is expected to ease congestion, enhance connectivity, and boost religious tourism across the state during one of Tripura’s most important festivals.
According to an official press release from NF Railway, “The Lumding (LMG) Division has decided to operate 07615/07616 AGTL–DMR–AGTL and 07613/07614 AGTL–SBRM–AGTL special trains to handle the extra rush of passengers.”
As per the schedule, Train No. 07615 and 07616 (Agartala–Dharmanagar–Agartala) will run from October 20 to 22, 2025, while Train No. 07613 and 07614 (Agartala–Sabroom–Agartala) will also operate during the same period, ensuring hassle-free travel for devotees during the festive celebrations.
