Student must come forward in developing state: Education Minister

Agartala: September 29. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said that the state government has taken various steps to promote quality education and develop education infrastructure in the state.

“People’s interest in education is increasing. People have understood that education means liberation, education means life, education means dreams, education means development. Education leads people from darkness to light”, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this while inaugurating the newly set up Panisagar Government College in Bouya Secondary School premises of Panisagar subdivision today.

It should be noted that the first year of the university will start from this year. 100 students can be admitted in various subjects in the arts department of the university. So far 52 students have been admitted in the first year. 32 lakh 57 thousand rupees have been spent on the construction of the newly set up building of Panisagar Government University.

In the inauguration ceremony of the college, the education minister said that the state government is working with the goal of developing the government. “Students should also come forward with the aim of making Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura. The state government has taken various steps to promote quality education and develop education infrastructure in the state”, Nath said.

He said, establishment of triple IT in the education sector, National Forensic University, National Law University, English Medium Government University, introduction of post graduate degree courses in 5 government universities of the state are significant events in the education sector of the state.
