Agartala, July 20, 2023: A conference was held at the Khowai District Magistrate’s office to deliberate on issues related to animal resources and fisheries development in the district.
The meeting was chaired by the departments’ minister Sudhangshu Das, Chief Whip Kalyani Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Choudhuri, and officials from various departments.
Speaking to reporters here, minister Das mentioned that the conference would focus on the ongoing initiatives undertaken by the Animal Resource Development Department and explore areas that require further attention. Additionally, discussions would also revolve around various projects under the Fisheries Department. The conference aimed to evaluate the progress made in these areas and strategize for future development.
Furthermore, the SC Welfare department’s role in providing essential services and facilities to the common people would be scrutinized during the discussions. The officials emphasized that the production of fish, meat, and milk would be closely monitored to meet the growing demands effectively.
The conference ended with the assurance that the departments would continue their efforts to develop the livestock and fisheries sectors, ensuring the well-being of the people and the region’s economic growth.
