Agartala: April 05. Animal Resource Development Department (ARDD) Minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday said that the government would soon feel up the vacant post in the department step by step.
Minister Das today chaired a state-level review meeting with all the officials of the ARDD at Gorkhabasti in Agartala.
He said that in the review meeting of ARDD, he will inquire about the work of the officials and workers. He also informed about the direction in which the work of the office is going.
“Today we are holding a state-level ARDD review meeting. We will see the present position and the condition of the ARDD. There is a huge demand for fish, meat, milk, and eggs among the people. And for that we have to check about our production, and how much we can produce based on the consumption rate, demand, and deficiency”, he said.
Minister Das said that in the meeting they will find out a solution on how the department can mitigate the crisis of fish, meat, milk, and eggs.
“We will hold a discussion and we will try to find a solution on how we can decrease the rate of deficiency. About 95% of people in our state are non-vegetarian. Based on this we will take new plans, and introduce new schemes to mitigate the crisis of the fish, meat, milk, and eggs among the people. We will discuss lots of issues in the meeting”, Das told reporters.
On employment, the minister admitted that there are a huge number of vacant posts lying.
“There are also vacant posts which are lying in our department and at the meeting we will also try to find out a solution on how we can feel up the vacant post. For this we will hold discussion with Finance Department and Chief Minister and soon gradually we will feel up the vacant post step by step”, he added.
