Agartala, 8th April 2024:   ARD, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das on Monday called upon the BJP karyakartas of Fatikroy assembly constituency to secure the maximum number of votes in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections of East Tripura seat scheduled to be held on April 26 next. The saffron party nominee Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarman may need to congratulate Fatikroy for leading among 30 assembly constituencies on the afternoon of June 04, he added.

Addressing an election campaign rally at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Fatikroy assembly constituency on Monday afternoon, Das said “In the Fatikroy assembly constituency, a series of organizational meetings, community engagement initiatives, and beneficiary conventions have been conducted. Remarkably, a significant number of individuals have shifted their allegiance from Congress and CPIM to BJP recently. While the exact vote count for the BJP candidate in Fatikroy is uncertain, it is assured that the CPIM candidate will not secure enough votes to save their deposit at this center.”

“The current political scenario in Fatikroy is shaped by the widespread admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his decade-long commitment to public welfare. Additionally, the populace has benefited from the BJP’s governance in Tripura over the past six years, under the leadership of ex-Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and the current Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. Consequently, the electorate in Fatikroy recognizes that sustainable development is achievable only through Prime Minister Modi’s forward-thinking leadership, prompting a cross-section of society to rally behind the BJP”, he added.

Das also said “Fatikroy’s voting percentage has outperformed other constituencies in the Unakoti district, reflecting a shift from the 2018 to 2023 assembly elections. Currently, the opposition does not pose a significant threat to the BJP. Within the East Tripura parliamentary constituency, there are 30 assembly segments, where BJP MLAs are striving to excel in garnering support for the party’s candidate. I call upon the party workers in Fatikroy to intensify their efforts for the upcoming Lok Sabha election for the East Tripura seat, scheduled for April 26. This dedication will ensure that on June 04, our candidate will express gratitude for the overwhelming vote count from this constituency.”

In this campaign rally, East Tripura candidate Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, YAS and Labour minister Tinku Roy, and others were present.
