No matter how small it is, the feeling of living in one’s own home is something that no one else can feel, who gets a ready-made house through this project. Every person dreams of having a perfect house. Our central and state governments are working towards this goal. The dreams of poor people are being realized today. Joy and exhilaration, the joy of realizing big dreams for a happy life are clearly visible in your face today.”

“Your role as the people’s representatives of the Gram Panchayats is to strengthen democracy and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of the village. The leadership of our progress and culture has always been provided by our villages. That is why our Central and State Governments are also moving forward with villages at the centre of every policy formulation and every effort. We are trying to make our villages of modern India sustainable, self-reliant. That is why the role of panchayats is being enhanced, new powers are being given to panchayats, the work of connecting every village through optical fiber net to digitize panchayats is progressing rapidly”, Minister said.

“The role of Panchayats has also been enhanced in taking any decisions related to village development priorities. My request to the representatives of the panchayats present here from the stage of this event today, you should think about the development of your village, speed up the development according to the wishes and aspirations of the villagers. This is what the people of your respective panchayat areas expect from you. You are also given the necessary money to perform this duty. Not only this, Panchayats are empowered to spend most of the time on village development. So I appeal to the representatives of the panchayats to take our state of Tripura to the highest peak of development”, Chowdhury added.
