Agartala: August 14. As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today took part in ‘Run for Unity’ at Jirania.This rally was organized under the initiative of home administration. This morning, the rally started from Jirania police station after the roamed across the Kala Bagan area and ended at the office of Sub-Divisional School Inspector.
Participating in the rally, Information and Cultural affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that many brave soldiers and statesmen have been martyred to protect the dignity of the national flag. “On the eve of Independence Day, we are also remembering those brave children through the Har Ghar Tiranga programme”, he said.He further said that the Prime Minister of the country has taken up the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, Har Ghar Tiranga program to commemorate this Independence Day.
Jirania Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ratan Kumar Das, Jirania Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Pritam Debnath, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jiban Krishna Acharya, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Himadri Prasad Das and other security administration employees participated in the rally.
