Agartala, 24th September 2023: A teenager drowned in Manu river while taking a bath today. The incident took place in the area adjacent to Manu Bridge of Longtorai Valley subdivision.
The name of the deceased Rajat Das (13) a resident of Manu Chanmari Para. According to the details of the incident, Rajat along with four friends went to take a bath under the Manu Bridge at around 11 am today. But while taking a bath, Rajat somehow drowned in the river. Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot after receiving the information. His body was finally recovered after two hours of searching. The body was taken to Manu Hospital for post-mortem. As the news of the incident spread, a shadow of mourning descended on the area.
