Agartala, 30th November 2025: In a major announcement at the recently held Telangana–North East Connect event—attended by the Governors of Telangana and Tripura, along with former Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma—Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled an ambitious new development project titled Bharat Future City.
The Chief Minister announced that the futuristic township will span 30,000 acres on the outskirts of Hyderabad, envisioned as a hub of innovation, culture, and national integration.
Underscoring Telangana’s commitment to strengthening ties with the North-Eastern region, Revanth Reddy declared that the state government will provide free land and full support for establishing India’s first North-East Annex within Bharat Future City. The annex will serve as a cultural and developmental bridge between Telangana and the eight states of the North-East.
He invited Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura to construct their own state-specific Bhavans in the annex. Each Bhawan will feature cultural centres, exhibition galleries for arts and handicrafts, hostel facilities, performance spaces, and rooms for intellectual and academic exchange.
“Each state can build its own Bhavan, showcase its culture, and strengthen the bond between Telangana and the North-East,” the Chief Minister said. He also highlighted the growing cultural connection between the regions, noting that “a Telangana brother is serving as the Governor of Tripura, and a Tripura brother is representing Telangana as its Governor.”
The initiative is expected to boost cultural diplomacy, promote tourism, and foster deeper socio-economic links between Telangana and the North-Eastern states.
