Agartala, 4th May 2026: Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s style, BJP workers in Teliamura Mandal marked their victory celebrations with plates of jhal muri. The festive mood followed today’s announcement of assembly election results across several states, ending weeks of political anticipation. From the morning, counting trends began to clarify outcomes, sparking waves of excitement among party supporters nationwide.
In West Bengal, early results showed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the ruling Trinamool Congress, prompting intense discussions about the state’s political future. Analysts suggested the outcome could signal a significant shift in the region’s political landscape. Across India, BJP workers and supporters erupted in jubilation, and Teliamura’s 28th Mandal joined in with fireworks, saffron-colored powder, and sweets distributed at the party office.
The celebration was attended by MLA and Chief Whip of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Kalyani Roy. She remarked, “The people of West Bengal have expressed their long-standing discontent with the ruling government through their votes. This result reflects their desire for change.” Roy praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their leadership, while sharply criticizing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
She also extended congratulations to BJP workers in Assam for their success and expressed gratitude to the people of Assam.
Political observers believe Monday’s results could reshape equations in the national political arena, setting the stage for new alignments and strategies in the coming months.
