Agartala, September 30: The Department of School Education has started without offers for TET passers in stages before Puja and already on September 27, 256 and today 255 TET passers have been released, said Education Minister Ratanlal Nath in a press conference at the Secretariat on Friday.
Nath said that in the state cabinet meeting yesterday, approval was given to give offers to 3,108 TET passers. As a result, a total of 3622 people who have passed TET are getting jobs, including those who have received two-day offers. The education minister said that after the government came to power in 2018, a total of 3,447 people have been appointed as teachers in the school education department. 1072 people have already been appointed to various posts including vacancies in the Higher Education Department.”
“Recently 179 more people have been given appointment letter for PGT post. Also 110 posts PGT recruitment exam has been conducted and the result of this exam will be released soon. The Education Minister said that a requisition has been sought from TRBT for the appointment of 230 more STGTs. Recruitment of 200 Special Educators and 100 Academic Counselors under Vidyajyoti Scheme through TRBT has been conducted in the month of October and the results will be released very soon”, he added.
The Education Minister said that due to the Covid situation in the academic year 2020-21 and 2021-22, it was not possible to distribute bicycles to all the girls studying in class 9 under the Department of School Education. “Therefore, it has been decided to provide bicycles to a total of 44,673 students studying in the 10th and 10th standard in two academic years this year. As a result, the verdict of the state government will be 17 crores and 10 lakhs. The price of each bicycle is 3820 Tk. Work order issued through e-tender. It will be given after the puja”, he also added.
