Agartala, September 30, 2022: Union Science and Technology minister Jitendra Singh presented awards to Madhurima Das and Shakil Shah of Tripura among 60 Startups participated in inspire award “MANAK” from 36 states and union territories on September 16 last.
On Friday, Education minister Ratan Lal Nath felicitated these two children Madhurima, student of class VIII in Shishu Bihar HS+2 School and Shakil Shah, student of class VIII in Jagatpur HS School. Secondary Education Director NC Sharma was also present.
Speaking to reporters here at Civil Secretariat on Friday afternoon, Nath said “Aiming to motivate students studying in classes VI to X, the inspire award “MANAK” (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) was organized. Although, this competition started from 2008-09 but Tripura failed to bag any award till 2018-19. However, Khurshid Alam, a student grabbed an award last year.
He said that Madhurima bagged the second position in inspire award “MANAK” competition for her innovative model on “Natural Cooling Structure for Fruits & Vegetables Preservation” and Shakil bagged the fifth position for his innovative model on “Temperature Controlled PPE Kit”.
Sharing a message to the common people, Education minister appealed all for blessing children of this state so that they can come up with more innovative ideas and startups in the coming days and SCERT will make untiring efforts for the aspiring students to rise high with their innovative thinkings.
