Theft at Santirbazar Schools: Police launch investigation

Agartala, 12th February 2025 :   Thieves broke into Santirbazar Model Girls’ School and Santirbazar Boys’ High Secondary School last last night. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

On the same night, two daring thefts took place in Santirbazar. Upon discovering the break-in, school authorities reported the incident to the Santirbazar Police Station, prompting a swift response from the police.

During a thorough search of the premises alongside school officials, it was found that around Rs 50,000 to 55,000, collected from female students for form submissions, had been stolen. This occurred despite the presence of various valuable items such as computers and laptops, which were left untouched.

The police are actively investigating the incident and working to identify the perpetrators. The theft has caused significant concern among the teachers, students, and parents of the school community.
