Agartala, 27th April 2025:  The frequency of thefts in Bishalgarh has been steadily rising creating widespread fear and unrest among residents. An incident last night exemplified the growing problem when a group of thieves targeted the house of Badal Deb Sarkar in Ward No. 7 of Office Tilla Natun Colony under Bishalgarh police station. The culprits made off with a submersible water pump.

Locals informed that the thefts are largely attributed to a group of young individuals allegedly addicted to drugs. It is believed that these thefts are committed to fund their substance abuse. The Bishalgarh subdivision has seen a spike in such activities, leaving residents anxious about the deteriorating security situation.Deb Sarkar and his family were reportedly asleep when the theft took place. This morning, they found the crime after noticing broken water pipes and the missing pump. The incident was immediately reported to the Bishalgarh police station, where authorities registered the case and assured the family of a thorough investigation.

The rising number of thefts in the region has raised concerns among the public, with many attributing the situation to alleged police inaction. Citizens are urging law enforcement to take more proactive measures to address the alarming trend and restore safety to the area.
