Agartala, 27th April 2025: A special village meeting organized by the Boxanagar Gram Panchayat took place today at the Boxanagar Girls’ High School grounds. The gathering focused on the overall development and future plans for the area, with active participation from residents and officials alike.
Boxanagar MLA Tafajjal Hossain attended as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Chairperson of Boxanagar Block Panchayat Samiti Swapna Nama, Boxanagar Block Officer Sanjib Kumar Pal, social worker Anil Chandra Das, and members of the Panchayat Samiti including Subhash Chandra Saha, Ruhul Amin and Ratna Pal. Representatives from the Sepahijala Zilla Parishad, Milan Nesha and the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat were also present.
During the meeting, past developmental achievements were highlighted, such as housing under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana, road construction, improved drinking water connections and advancements in health centers. Discussions also addressed future needs, including new school buildings, better drainage systems, employment opportunities and support for farmers.MLA Tafajjal Hossain emphasized his commitment to addressing the locality’s needs stating, “I will always strive to ensure that developmental work aligns with the aspirations of the people.” Panchayat and block-level officials echoed this sentiment, assuring attendees that necessary projects would be prioritized for swift implementation.The meeting highlighted the power of collaboration between the administration and the community. “This gathering has shown that rural development is achievable when everyone works together,” remarked a participant. The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a stronger outline for Boxanagar’s future development.
