Thieves target Anganwadi Kendra at Melaghar

Agartala, 24th April 2025:  In a daring nighttime burglary, unidentified thieves broke into the Indira Nagar Dakshin Para Anganwadi Kendra under Melaghar Municipal Council making off with cooking cylinders and other essential items.

It is reported that the break-in took place late at night. The theft was revealed in the morning when worker arrived at the Kendra and found the door forced open. Upon entering, she found the premises in disarray, with cupboards ransacked and school supplies missing. Authorities were immediately alerted to the incident.

Police have since launched an investigation into the theft, aiming to identify the culprits and recover the stolen goods. Residents have expressed concerns about security in the area, urging local authorities to take swift action to prevent further incidents.
