Agartala, 6th June 2025: Police from Agartala East Police Station have apprehended three individuals in connection with a robbery case, recovering a stolen bike as part of the operation. Among the arrested is Kshitish Sarkar, a known offender with a prior case registered at the same police station, confirmed SDPO Debaprasad Roy.
Roy said, multiple complaints regarding stolen motorcycles had been lodged with the police in recent days, prompting an active investigation. During this period, a woman traveling towards Dhaleswar was targeted by robbers, who pushed her to the ground before snatching her necklace and fleeing the scene.
Following an investigation, the woman was able to identify the suspects involved in the crime. The arrested individuals have been identified as Kshitish Sarkar, Binoy Sen and Amit Debbarma. Sarkar, described as a habitual offender had been previously implicated in criminal activities, the SDPO added.Police continue their investigation into the matter.
