Agartala, 21st July 2026; A newly constructed open stage, named Mukt Mancha, was formally inaugurated at Purana Line Bazaar in Kadamtala block, North Tripura. The initiative aims to promote social and cultural activities in rural areas and provide a platform for local youth to showcase their talents.
In a grand ceremony, Minister Tinku Roy cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque, marking the official opening of the stage. Kadamtala Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shishir Ranjan Nath attended as chief guest, while North Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairperson Aparna Nath and other dignitaries were present.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Roy extended greetings to the residents and remarked, “Such open stages will play a vital role in enriching rural social and cultural life. Local artists and youth will now have a permanent platform to nurture and display their talents.”
Other speakers highlighted the state government’s efforts in rural infrastructure development. The fulfillment of this long-standing demand sparked enthusiasm among locals, with a large turnout of panchayat representatives, officials, and community members.
