Traffic Restrictions Imposed in Sipahijala District Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

Agartala, 21st September 2025:   In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tripura tomorrow, the District Administration of Sipahijala has issued a traffic advisory for residents and commuters. According to the notification, all types of vehicles, including trucks carrying bricks, cement, and other construction materials, will be prohibited from plying on the road from Uttam Bhakta Choumuhani to Pathaliyaghat (the boundary of Sipahijala district) from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on September 22, 2025. Emergency service vehicles have been advised to use alternative routes.

Residents and private vehicle owners in the Bishalgarh and Bishramganj areas are directed to follow alternate routes. From Bishalgarh to Madhupur and onward to Agartala, vehicles must adhere to the designated bypass routes. Vehicles traveling from Bishramganj via the brick kiln at Takarjala to Srinagar should also follow specified diversion paths.

Additionally, the road from the SDPO office at Choumuhani to Bishalgarh Motor Stand, via the Bishalgarh bypass, will remain closed for public traffic from 10:00 AM until the departure of VVIPs, except in cases of emergency. Local residents of Bishalgarh seeking to access the Motor Stand are advised to take Office Tila or other side streets for their daily commute.

Authorities have urged everyone to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the Prime Minister’s visit.
