Agartala, August 07: In a solemn ceremony held at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan here on Monday, prominent leaders including Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Pradesh Congress President Asish Kumar Saha, and Pradesh Mahila Congress President, along with other party members, paid heartfelt tributes to the late Chief Minister Sachindra Lal Singh on the occasion of his 117th birth anniversary.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony, PCC President Asish Kumar Saha spoke highly of Sachindra Lal Singh’s remarkable contributions and significance. He emphasized that Singh dedicated his entire life to serving the people and played a pivotal role during the liberation war of Bangladesh.
Saha also highlighted that Singh’s influence extended beyond the borders, and he made considerable efforts in rehabilitating refugees who sought shelter in Tripura during that period. According to Saha, Sachindra Lal Singh’s legacy remains relevant even in the present day.
The ceremony served as a poignant moment of remembrance, honouring the memory of the late Chief Minister whose invaluable contributions continue to be celebrated and remembered by the world.
