Agartala, 23rd October 2026 : A temple dedicated to Mahadev, Lord Hanuman and Shani Dev was inaugurated at Natun Palli in Krishnanagar, near Durga Choumuhani, fulfilling a long-cherished dream of local residents.
West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar and Ward 18 councillor Abhishek Datta inaugurated the temple, located in front of the Agartala Municipal Corporation ward office, amid devotional fervour and enthusiasm.
The temple was established following an initiative by councillor Abhishek Datta in response to the long-standing aspiration of residents for a permanent place of worship in the locality.
Locals expressed happiness over the inauguration, expressing hope that the temple would emerge as an important centre for religious activities, community gatherings and cultural events. They also believe that the initiative would strengthen social harmony and community bonds in the area.
