Agartala, 30th May 2025: The Tripura Adivasi Congress has voiced concerns over the lack of tangible progress in the Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas under the governance of the TIPRA Motha Party, which has led the council since 2021.
Speaking to media personnel at Pradesh Congress Bhavan here on Friday, State Adivasi Congress Chairman Shabd Kumar Jamatia demanded the release of a white paper detailing employment figures and development initiatives undertaken in the ADC region. He accused the TIPRA Motha leadership of failing to deliver significant progress for the tribal population, alleging that promises of development remain unfulfilled.
Jamatia criticized the TIPRA Motha government, stating that it has prioritized political maneuvering over genuine welfare efforts for the tribal community. He reiterated that the Congress Party is the only political force that has consistently worked for the upliftment of Tripura’s tribal residents.
Accompanying him at the press conference, Pradesh Adivasi Congress leaders Atul Debbarma and Shib Chandra Debbarma echoed similar sentiments, calling for greater transparency and accountability from the ruling TIPRA Motha administration.
The Congress leaders emphasized the need for clear developmental policies to address the long-standing concerns of the tribal population, urging the TIPRA Motha government to take decisive action in fulfilling its commitments.
