Agartala, 2nd August 2024: In a grand ceremony, the Tripura Adivasi Mahila Samiti felicitated the newly elected Ramnagar MLA Dipak Majumdar on Friday. The event was organized at the Samiti’s office at Advisor Chowmuhani here, saw the presence of Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Corporator Bhaswati Debbarma, Corporator Shikha Banerjee, Tripura Adivasi Mahila Samiti Vice-President Latika Debbarma and Secretary Rita Roy.
During the ceremony, MLA Majumdar was felicitated with a floral tribute and adorned with a traditional Uttariya. In his address, Mayor and MLA Majumdar emphasized the importance of women’s education and self-reliance, highlighting the contributions of Anurupa Mukherjee in this regard. He stated, “The country will progress only if women can be respected and self-reliant.”
Majumdar also praised the ongoing efforts of the Prime Minister and the state government in promoting women’s self-reliance and protection. He reiterated the commitment to continue working towards these goals, ensuring that women in the state are empowered and respected.
