Agartala, 22nd January 2025 : The Government of Tripura has announced the Tripura Business Conclave 2025, a landmark event aimed at showcasing the state’s immense potential and attracting investments across various sectors. Scheduled to take place in Agartala on the 7th and 8th of February 2025, this conclave will serve as a premier platform for investors, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore and capitalize on the growth opportunities in Tripura.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma said, “The Tripura Business Conclave 2025 is a significant step towards unlocking the state’s economic potential. We are committed to creating an environment that fosters investment and growth across various sectors.”
The event has been named “Destination Tripura – Business Conclave, 2025,” will be held at Hotel Polo Towers. It will feature focused sectorial discussions on services like Tourism, Education & Skill Development, IT, Healthcare, and Food Processing. Additionally, the conclave will include B2G meetings and MoU signing and exchange.
Key sectors to be highlighted during the conclave include IT and Electronics, Education, Healthcare, Tourism, and other sectors such as rubber, bamboo, agar, and food processing industries. Minister Chakma highlighted the importance of these sectors, saying, “Our focus on IT and Electronics, supported by the Tripura IT/ITeS Policy 2022, aims to rapidly develop the state’s digital infrastructure and promote IT education. Initiatives like MOA with Tata technologies are crucial for upgrading educational outcomes and creating a skilled workforce.”
Significant investments are also being made in healthcare, including the establishment of a private super speciality hospital. The tourism sector is leveraging Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty to attract investments. “We are committed to improving medical facilities and attracting investments in the tourism sector to boost economic growth,” added Minister Chakma.
The objectives of the conclave are to attract investment, promote economic development, showcase opportunities, facilitate partnerships, enhance infrastructure, and advocate for investor-friendly policies. “This conclave will provide a platform for investors to interact with policymakers, fostering the development of investor-friendly policies,” concluded Minister Chakma.
In the press conference, Industries and Commerce department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director Visheswari B, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik and others were present.
