Agartala, September 13, 2023: Tripura celebrated the National Pension System (NPS) Day at Pragya Bhaban on Friday, with the participation of state government officials and representatives of ProTN e-Gov: Technologies Limited, the organization that manages the NPS scheme in the state.
The event was inaugurated by Finance Secretary Apoorba Roy, who said that NPS is a scheme that benefits not only government employees but also citizens who want to secure their retirement. He also unveiled the cover of a booklet related to NPS guidelines.
Additional Finance Secretary Akinchan Sarkar, who was felicitated along with Roy by ProTN e-Gov: Technologies Limited, said that NPS has an important role in social security and praised the performance of Tripura in implementing the scheme.
Nitin Joshi, National Head of ProTN e-Gov: Technologies Limited, said that NPS has some interesting features such as low cost, flexibility, portability and transparency. He also thanked the state government for its support and cooperation.
The event was attended by other officials such as Treasury Officer Harshita Biswas, Tejary Officer Shankar Narayan Das, State Nodal Officer of NPS B Darlong and senior official of ProTN e-Gov: Technologies Limited Ramesh Kumar.
