Agartala, 9th May 2025:  In a strong show of support for the Indian Armed Forces, the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Friday organised a ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ in Agartala, waving the national flag and expressing solidarity with the armed forces amid rising tensions following recent terror attacks.

Speaking to the media, TPCC President Asish Kumar Saha referred to the terror strike that took place on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where innocent civilians were targeted. “The attack has sparked nationwide outrage. Citizens across the country are demanding decisive and strong action against terrorism,” Saha said.

He noted that in response to the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Armed Forces had carried out a series of strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), reportedly resulting in significant damage. “Even yesterday, our armed forces launched fresh offensives against terror bases inside Pakistan,” Saha added.

He also informed that Pakistan, in retaliation, attempted to launch drone and missile attacks, which were successfully intercepted by the Indian Armed Forces. “Their prompt and precise action once again proves the strength and preparedness of our forces,” he said.

Lauding the courage and commitment of the Indian troops, Saha stated, “The Indian Armed Forces have shown that the country will not bow down to terrorism. Through this Jai Hind Yatra, the Congress party expresses its deep respect and unwavering support for our soldiers. We stand united with the Armed Forces and the Government of India in this fight against terrorism.”

The rally, part of a nationwide initiative by the All India Congress Committee, aimed to boost morale and demonstrate civilian backing for the armed forces amid heightened security concerns.
