Tripura honors brave martyrs: 75 Border Villages to be named in memories of “Veer Shaheeds”

Agartala, June 29, 2023: On the occasion of 75 years of independence, 75 border villages of the state will be named after 75 brave martyrs of the state. Among these, seven border villages in Belonia sub-division and six border villages in Sabroom sub-division will be named after “Veer Shaheeds”.

The border villages of Sabroom which will be named after “Veer Shaheeds” are- Vaishnabpur, Daulbari, Indira Nagar, Amli Ghat, Srinagar and Krishnanagar.

It is learned that the auspicious start of this program will be held from the border village Navin Para area of Sabroom on the occasion of 75 years of Independence in the presence of the Chief Minister Manik Saha on July 08 or 09 next. In order to prepare for this program, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sabroom Bidhan Chandra Roy, former MLA of Sabroom Shankar Roy, MLA of 39-Manu Mylaphru Mog, DCM Manoj Prabhakar Pal, Sabroom PWD Department Officer Parv Tripura, Satchand Block’s BDO Officer Sanjit Reang visited Navin Para on Thursday.
