Agartala, 2nd July 2025:  The Tripura Irregular Employees’ Forum has announced a mass movement on July 4 to press for the demands of nearly 40,000 irregular workers across the state. Convener and advocate Purushottam Roy Barman made the announcement during a press conference here today.

According to Barman, the Forum will organize a rally from Rabindra Bhavan to amplify calls for wage parity, recognition of part-time employees as full-time irregular staff, and the introduction of a regularization policy for those who have completed ten years of service. He emphasized that the protest marks the beginning of a broader push for employment justice in the state’s irregular workforce sector.
