Agartala, 3rd April 2026:   Tripura’s Director General of Police, Anurag, on Friday affirmed that the state police have put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections are conducted peacefully, freely, and fairly.

Ahead of the elections, DGP Anurag is touring various districts to hold review meetings with District Superintendents of Police, Tripura State Rifles Commandants, and other officials.

On Friday, he visited Gomati District, where he met with officers from both Gomati and South District police administrations to assess preparations on the ground.

“We have already deployed our officers in the field and put strategies in place to ensure the election process—from pre-poll to post-poll phases—is peaceful. We regularly coordinate with District SPs and PHQ officials and conduct periodic reviews,” DGP Anurag stated.

He emphasized that his visit aimed to evaluate the situation and discuss further measures if needed. “Our goal is to maintain law and order and guarantee a free and fair election. We will continue monitoring the situation closely and take additional steps wherever necessary,” he added.
