Agartala, 15th July 2026: In a major reshuffle at the police station level, the Tripura Police Headquarters has ordered the immediate transfer of 12 police officers across the state. The transfer order, issued on Tuesday, includes the posting of Officers-in-Charge (OCs) at seven police stations.
According to the notification, Inspector Sanjit Sen, Officer-in-Charge of Belonia Police Station, has been transferred as the new OC of West Agartala Police Station. Inspector Rana Chattopadhyay, who was serving as OC of West Agartala Police Station, has been posted as OC of Amtali Police Station.
Inspector Krishnadhan Sarkar, previously posted at Khowai Police Station, has been appointed as the Officer-in-Charge of East Agartala Police Station. Inspector Paritosh Das, former OC of Amtali Police Station, has been transferred to NCC Police Station as its new OC.
Inspector Bishnu Chandra Das has been moved from Baikhora Police Station to take charge as OC of Srinagar Police Station. Inspector Subimal Barman, who was serving in West Tripura district, has been appointed as the new Officer-in-Charge of Belonia Police Station.
Meanwhile, Inspector Arunoday Das has been transferred from Srinagar Police Station to Baikhora Police Station, while Inspector Prajit Malakar has been shifted from NCC Police Station to serve as the new OC of Khowai Police Station.
The transfer order also includes the posting of four women police officers. Woman Inspector Shipra Bala Chanda has been transferred from South Tripura district to TPCB, while Woman Inspector Munna Majumdar has been moved from West Agartala Women Police Station to South Tripura district.
Woman Sub-Inspector Mousumi Dutta has been transferred from TPCB to Bishalgarh Women Police Station, and Woman Sub-Inspector Ripita Bhattacharjee has been shifted from Bishalgarh Women Police Station to West Agartala Women Police Station.
Tripura Police Headquarters stated that the transfers have been made in the interest of public administration and will take effect immediately.
