Tripura Police Warns Against Rumor-Mongering, Assures Public Safety Amid Baseless Social Media Claims

Agartala, 24th July 2024:   Tripura Police on Wednesday warned of taking strict actions if any body found of spreading false rumours in the state.

The statement of Tripura Police came after a message being circulated in social media by some miscreants urging all tribals to leave Agartala or any other big town of the state before 26th July.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, West Tripura District Police said that there is a message being circulated in social media by some miscreants urging all tribals to leave Agartala or any other big town of the state before 26th July.

“This message is absolutely baseless, and there is no need to panic. The situation is totally under control and enough force is deployed to tackle any kind of situation. Strict legal action will be taken against persons spreading such message, please refrain from spreading false rumours”, said Tripura Police.
